We pick-up process, sort and co-mingle mail from our customers to achieve greater savings for you and then injects it deep into the USPS mail stream, very close to its final delivery destination.  From there, USPS delivers the mail to the address, even PO boxes and on Saturdays.  For international mail, the mail is routed through one of our gateway Mail Terminals and then speed via the DHL Global Mail network to the destination postal authority for local delivery in that country.

With Expedited (2-5 days) and Budget (5-10 days) service levels, DHL Global Mail can achieve the type of residential delivery you expect.  The choice of transit times gives the flexibility to align the timing of your document deliveries with your important shareholder meetings.  Our portfolio includes services for flats, bound printed matter, media mail and parcels up to 70 lbs.

Accuracy

With our Expedited service, once mail is received by DHL Global Mail each piece is handled individually to verify content, address and Zip Code correction prior to handing to off to USPS for final mile delivery.  This verification process helps ensure the mail pieces reach the intended shareholder’s address.

During encoding every mail piece is individually weighed, this provides content assurance.  The address is verified against the USPS database (CASS certification) of over 142 million addresses and Zip Codes to correct input/keying errors that might have occurred when your database was created.

 In addition, over 17 percent of the US population moves every year according to USPS statistics, resulting in 44 million address changes alone.  This can also create havoc in your shareholder database.  Utilizing the National Change of Address (NCOA) software can reduce the number of late deliveries or returned mail.  With a thorough approach to database hygiene, dollars invested in shareholder communications can be maximized, not wasted.  DHL Global Mail is resolutely committed to helping you achieve a high level of deliverability.  We even provide you with reports of bad addresses, so you are able to get your database corrected back at the source, so it is cleaner for your next mailing.

During encoding with our unique 11-digit barcode indicia, every address is electronically compiled to build a routing scheme.  We know the operator who encoded the mail, the workstation where the mail piece was processed and the date and time it was processed.  This adds quality and security to the sorting process and ensures that the mail continues to be sorted correctly as it travels through the system to its final destination.
