Jürgen Höfling new Chairman of Divisional Board MAIL International

Klaus Knappik continues with the Group as consultant and project manager


 

Bonn -- March 30, 2007 -- As of April 1, 2007, Jürgen Höfling will be the new Chairman of the Divisional Board MAIL International. With this, Corporate Board Member Hans-Dieter Petram has assigned him the responsibility for Deutsche Post's international mail business. Höfling served as Member of the Divisional Board EXPRESS Europe since 2000 and, most recently, as Member of the Divisional Board MAIL International, with responsibility for Europe. He will retain this latter, supplementary responsibility.

Klaus Knappik has asked to be released from active accountability upon attainment of the age threshold of 60. Knappik was a successful top manager at Deutsche Post for many years. In the years to come, he will serve the Group as consultant for the international mail business and take on project work focused on the USA.
